Towl requires an Apple Silicon Mac running macOS 26 or later.

Full Disk Access

Full Disk Access is required to start a scan. If an individual source cannot be read, Towl reports a coverage warning rather than treating missing evidence as removal.

Read-only by design

Towl explains persistence evidence but does not delete, disable, quarantine, or modify software. System changes remain under your control.
